For most of my life, I avoided sewing. Even though my mom makes her own clothes and my grandmother was a seamstress, I never had the patience.

However, in 2021 I needed a new purse and thought I could save some money by making my own. From there I kept going and now love experimenting and working with my hands on various things.

BUSYBODY is the foundational work of a brand to house all my textile creations. A busybody is a meddler, i.e., the person at Thanksgiving that’s in everyone’s business or a nosy neighbor. I think the concept of nosiness is interesting and flipping a name with a negative connotation into a personal brand opens the door for reinterpretation.
